UK Teaching Staff was built to enable teachers to take control of their careers and for schools to take control of their recruitment. We want to provide a common link between the teaching professionals around the globe with their peers and their employers whilst keeping privacy tailored to what you require individually.
Membership Profiles
Our default settings allow other members to view your profile with professional members allowed to view your CV and employment status. Your account is effectively set up as “open” allowing access to your details from other members.
We want you to be in control of your privacy, however, and therefore offer the opportunity to change your privacy settings to suit your needs. You can choose who can view your profile and your CV by having either a "Public" profile or "Private" profile
Please be aware that if you post personal information on public areas of the site including forums and the CV database, UK Teaching Staff Ltd can have no responsibility over who views and uses these details. We are in no way responsible for the private information that is made public by yourselves and the acts of third parties with this information.
We use your private information for use on the CV database only and will never pass on your details to third parties in any other way than access to the CV database. We will use your information to contact you with any information you may be interested in if, at the time of registration, you agree to receive this. This may consist of any promotional material, new job listings and resources that you may be interested in.
We may pass on your information if legally required to do so such as in the case of conforming to legal requirements, to help in the prevention of crime, and in the interests of keeping UK Teaching Staff Ltd and its rights protected. We may disclose or transfer information to all parties who invest in, or own rights to, UK Teaching Staff Ltd. In the event of insolvency, UK Teaching Staff Ltd may pass on these details to such parties as required by court. You will be notified of any such changes by way of prominent placing of the information on our website and by email to the registered account.
UK Teaching Staff will retain all information so that as a user, you can update and continue your career path at your leisure in the future. If you decide to cancel and close your account, we will ensure that your account is not visible to anyone and will not use the information we have stored on our database. We will not pass it on to third parties and the information will only be stored so that you, as a user, can reactivate your account at any point in the future during your career.
CV’s
Our CV database is, at the time of writing, only available to UK teaching institutions around the world. You can store your CV in our database in which case it can be viewed by our professional members.
Whilst we will only promote and allow access to our database to the teaching profession, we cannot guarantee that other third parties will not be able to gain access to the details on the database. In this instance we accept no responsibility for third parties using or administering your private details by gaining access in this way.
Personal Details
You may review, delete and amend any of your personal information at any time. If you wish to delete your CV and personal details or full account profile or if you wish to revoke your agreement to the privacy statement you can do so by contacting us. Please note, if you revoke the privacy agreement then you may not be able to use some of the services associated with the privacy policy with UK Teaching Staff Ltd.
Children
UK Teaching Staff Ltd is concerned with adults in their chosen careers. Therefore we do not actively look to gain the information of people under the age of 18 years.
Your Security
Your data is submitted to UK Teaching Staff Ltd whilst the data is stored on an external server through a secure company of our choice. Whilst we take measures to combat your privacy in this matter, we cannot accept any responsibility for your privacy being breached as a result of the server we use.
Changes
If there are to be any changes to the privacy policy and its contents, we will notify members by placing an advertisement in a prominent area of our website.
