UK Teaching Staff authorise you, the user, to use all of our services and information on our sites, subject to the terms and conditions set out in this agreement. The terms and conditions set out on this page are accepted by "you" the people who use the sites www.ukteachingstaff.com, www.ukteachingstaff.co.uk and www.ukteachingstaff.net and must be adhered to by any user of these sites. If you do not agree with the terms of use set out in this page then please do not use any of our websites.
The contents of this website are the property of UK Teaching Staff and cannot be used or reproduced in association with any other site or business. The terms “contents” refers to all graphics, logos, text and resources (inclusive of CVs) on the site added by UK Teaching Staff in addition to the site which refers to the assembly of the website and navigation across the site. All coding for the website is owned by UK Teaching Staff and shall not be used, copied or reproduced for any other purposes by the user.
All contents added to the site by our members in the “resources” section of the website can be used by our members for professional use within the workplace and it is therefore accepted that this information will be shared amongst members.
Eligibility
To be eligible to use this website and become a member, the user must be a teaching professional over the age of 18 years of age. All persons wishing to use the service must provide proof of their teaching status (upon request) in addition to their professional teaching certificates which should accompany their CV. Other professional entities such as recruitment agencies, head hunters and advertising companies, at the time of writing, are not eligible to become members of UK Teaching Staff. Please contact us for information about the eligibility of users. By using this site and signing up for the services, you are accepting that you will abide by the terms and conditions of this agreement.
Users who violate these terms and conditions, at the discretion of UK Teaching Staff, shall have their account suspended and/or have legal action taken against them.
Use of the Website
The use of this website is reserved for teaching professionals wishing to search for jobs, gain help with their career and use the resources of the site and for educational institutions to recruit staff, through the medium of UK Teaching Staff. The website can be browsed by anyone who wishes to although only members are permitted to use the services and resources on offer with the website. At the time of writing, UK Teaching Staff does not allow recruitment agencies, head hunters and other third parties to use the facilities on the site and is solely for the use of teaching professionals. UK Teaching Staff have the right to request proof of teaching status or proof of being an educational institution in order to ensure the safe-keeping and well being of all connected with the site. Additionally, UK Teaching Staff will track and store IP addresses upon sign up to ensure that all users are eligible to use the site.
Registration
In consideration of your use of the site, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete information about you; maintain the security of your password and identification; maintain and promptly amend your details and any other information you provide to UK Teaching Staff and be fully responsible for all use of your account and for any actions that take place using your account.
Memberships
Users are not permitted to share passwords or account access to any other individual and/or institution, temporarily or permanently, and you shall be responsible for all uses of your UK Teaching Staff registrations and passwords, whether or not authorised by you. You agree to immediately notify UK Teaching Staff of any unauthorised use of your account, profile, or passwords.
CV Database
Use of the UK Teaching Staff CV database by Employers:
You shall use the UK Teaching Staff CV database as provided in these Terms. You shall use the UK Teaching Staff CV database in accordance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws, and you agree that you shall not further disclose any of the data from the UK Teaching Staff CV database to any third party. You shall take appropriate technical and administrative measures to protect the data you have obtained from the UK Teaching Staff CV database from misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss.
The UK Teaching Staff CV database shall not be used:
- For any purpose other than a school seeking a teacher for employment.
- To make unsolicited phone calls, faxes, postal mail or email to personal CV holders or to contact any individual unless they have agreed to be contacted (where consent is required or, if express consent is not required, who has informed you that they do not want to be contacted).
Job postings
UK Teaching Staff reserves the right to remove any job posting or content from any UK Teaching Staff Site, which does not comply with the UK Teaching Staff terms, or if any content is posted that UK Teaching Staff believes is not in the best interest of UK Teaching Staff.
A Job posting may not contain:
- Inaccurate, false, or misleading information.
- Material or links to material that exploits people in a sexual, violent or other manner, or solicits personal information from anyone under 16.
You may not use your UK Teaching Staff job posting to:
- Post jobs in a manner that does not comply with applicable local, national and international laws.
- Post jobs or other advertisements for competitors of UK Teaching Staff, inclusive of all recruitment agencies and head hunting service agencies, or post jobs or other content that contains links to any site competitive with UK Teaching Staff.
- Sell, promote or advertise products or services;
- (Except where allowed by applicable law) Post jobs which require the applicant to provide information relating to his/her (i) racial or ethnic origin (ii) political beliefs (iii) philosophical or religious beliefs (iv) membership of a trade union (v) physical or mental health (vi) sexual life (vii) the commission of criminal offences or proceedings or (viii) age.
Resources
UK Teaching Staff reserves the right to remove any resources or content from any UK Teaching Staff Site, which does not comply with the UK Teaching Staff terms, or if any content is posted that UK Teaching Staff believes is not in the best interest of UK Teaching Staff.
Resources may not contain:
- Inaccurate, false, or misleading information.
- Material or links to material that exploits people in a sexual, violent or other manner, or solicits personal information from anyone under 16.
- Content that is not educational and in the best interest of UK Teaching Staff and the teaching education sector.
Forums
You are solely responsible for all content uploaded to the server by the way of forums on the website. You may not post, transmit or share user content which may be offensive, illegal or may violate the rights, harm or threaten the safety of other users. Any content that we deem to be violating these terms and conditions will be removed and are at the sole discretion of UK Teaching Staff. UK Teaching Staff will not enter into negotiations regarding the removed content and by using the forums, you are agreeing to abide by the terms of use set out in this agreement.
Prohibited Use
You are prohibited from using the service if you are not a teaching professional over the age of 18 or not a teaching institution such as a school, college or university. All users are prohibited from using offensive, illegal and threatening behaviour on the site. Company graphics, logos, designs, page headers, button icons and scripts are all property of UK Teaching Staff and may not be used in connection with any product or service and may not be copied, imitated, or used, in whole or in part, without the prior written permission of UK Teaching Staff.
It is prohibited to:
- Use of any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools to extract (whether once or many times) for re-utilisation of any parts of this website.
- Redistribution or reproduction of part or all of the contents in any form, inclusive of all source code, images and resources.
- Attempt to harm, disrupt, tamper and interfere with any, or all, of the website.
- Attempt to gain access to the site via unlawful means (relating to users that are not educational professionals).
Users who violate these terms and conditions, at the discretion of UK Teaching Staff, shall have their account suspended and/or have legal action taken against them.
Disclaimer
UK Teaching Staff does not warrant that any UK Teaching Staff services will operate error-free or that any servers are free of computer viruses or other harmful mechanisms. If your use of any UK Teaching Staff content results in the need for servicing and/or replacing equipment, data or any other costs, UK Teaching Staff is not responsible for costs incurred. In no event shall UK Teaching Staff be liable for any damages whatsoever (including incidental and consequential damages, lost profits or damages resulting from lost data or lost employment opportunity) resulting from the use or inability to use any UK Teaching Staff site and content. This liability is regardless of any cause of action including tort, contract, breach of warranty, force majeure or otherwise.
If at any time during your use of the UK Teaching Staff services, you made a misrepresentation of fact to UK Teaching Staff or otherwise misled UK Teaching Staff in regards to the nature of your business activities, UK Teaching Staff will have grounds to terminate your use of the UK Teaching Staff Services.
